At Solutrans, the international trade show for urban transport and logistics, Incitis will unveil its Urban Cargo® solution, designed to meet the challenges of urban logistics and sustainable mobility. By lowering itself to ground level, this extraordinary 19-tonne electrified delivery vehicle enables safe and fast ground-level deliveries for drivers.
The Urban Cargo® solution will be presented at Solutrans on the Incitis stand (Hall 3, stand B140).
A design conceived for safer, more ergonomic and smoother urban delivery
Designed by Incitis, the Urban Cargo® is a 19-tonne electrified vehicle designed to meet the challenges of urban and suburban delivery: heavy traffic, reduced CO₂ emissions and improved safety for delivery drivers.
With its ability to lower to ground level during loading/unloading, it enables safer and faster deliveries at ground level, eliminating the need for a tailgate. This innovative design helps to reduce the drudgery of delivery drivers' work.
Deliveries can be adapted in real time: the vehicle's rear and side openings make the driver's job easier and ensure maximum flexibility depending on traffic or traffic constraints.
Finally, its low-floor cab improves the ergonomics of delivery rounds and offers optimal visibility, enhancing the safety of both drivers and road users.
+30% productivity for urban delivery rounds
Tests carried out by pilot customers in real-world conditions have shown a 30% time saving per round compared to a conventional heavy goods vehicle, representing a saving of one in three vehicles in a fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
Furthermore, with its 8-tonne payload, equivalent to 6 or 7 light commercial vehicles, this electrified truck makes it possible to consolidate flows, thereby reducing the number of vehicles required and freeing up urban space.
A competitive low-carbon offering
Thanks to this optimisation, Incitis supports transport companies in their energy transition, at no extra cost compared to diesel.
The Urban Cargo® solution is based on optimised battery technology, combined with range extenders (hydrogen, biomethane or plug-and-play batteries) and has a range of up to 400 km for peri-urban deliveries.
Designed for PIEK certification, the platform is also quiet and perfectly suited to city centre deliveries.
The missing link to boost last-mile logistics
With Urban Cargo®, Incitis creates a direct and efficient link between suburban warehouses and city centre delivery areas, reinventing last-mile logistics.
This solution offers several possible configurations depending on B2B logistics needs, including temperature-controlled transport. It can also be used in conjunction with cargo bikes: prepared and loaded in warehouses on the outskirts, the boxes are transported to the city centre on board the Urban Cargo®. Once there, these boxes are transferred directly to cargo bikes using a fast and efficient roll-on/roll-off system, eliminating the need for an urban logistics hub.
A solution developed by road freight transport experts
Incitis was founded by eight shareholders from the heavy goods vehicle, trade and finance industries, and is supported by leading players such as Inno (European fund), Piroux Group, PFA, CEA-LITEN and leading international technical partners, such as Akkodis and Symbio. The project has been certified by CARA competitiveness cluster, French Tech and BPI France's Deeptech Plan. Furthermore, this project was funded by the Government as part of France 2030. Five patents have already been filed, including two at the global level.
" With Incitis, we want to demonstrate that it is possible to combine economic efficiency, delivery driver safety and respect for the environment without relying on vehicle purchase subsidies, ’ explains Éric Poyeton, Founder of Incitis. ‘ Our goal is clear: to offer an urban delivery solution capable of sustainably transforming logistics in large cities, both in France and internationally. ’
At Solutrans, Incitis confirms its desire to establish itself as a key player in the energy and logistics transition by providing a concrete and innovative response to the challenges facing urban areas. Beyond technological innovation, Incitis has a vision: to transform global urban delivery to make it more sustainable, fluid and human.
